The students of The Hindu Sr. Sec. School, Indira Nagar, Chennai – 20 of class II attended the ‘Marine Naturalist Workshop’ conducted by TREE FOUNDATION at Neelankarai on1st August 2017 as a part of the British Council’s International School Award [ISA].
The students visited the re-habitation centre of the turtles and enjoyed the way the turtles ate their food and also participated in cleaning them. The students learnt that how throwing the plastic into the ocean affects the life of marine animals. It was an indeed a productive and learning trip for the students.


Disaster management programme

As a part of our International School Award [ISA] project and the safety week celebration, a disaster management demonstration was conducted in The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar, under the leadership of Sub-Inspector, Mr.S.K. Sharma and SI-Executive Shivdev Kumar, National Disaster Response Force [NDRF], Ministry of Home Affairs and his team demonstrated, explained and educated our students regarding the disaster management techniques. Hand on experience was given to our students.

The students and teachers attended the same from our school, which was a useful and highly educative programme.
