The Indian Naval Band – Making Waves
The concert, titled “Indian Navy Symphonic Orchestra – 2025: Sargam,” was organised by the Flotilla Technical Support Unit (FTSU), Chennai, under the Headquarters, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area.

The event was held at The Music Academy, Royapettah, Chennai.
It was attended by our school XI standard students and teachers, along with around 1,400 students, including NCC cadets, teachers, and parents.
The concert also coincided with the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram,” making the event symbolically significant. The Navy’s tribute beautifully blended national history, artistic expression, and institutional pride.
The chief guest, S. Shankari, Scientist ‘G’ at DRDO’s Advanced Systems Laboratory, Hyderabad, praised the Navy Band for creating an emotionally powerful and inspiring experience. She remarked that the performance “instilled in us pride, unity, and patriotism.”
She also highlighted the importance of the 150th year of “Vande Mataram,” describing it as “a timeless salute to our motherland … not merely a song, but an emotion and a pledge.”
