I am writing this as a proud alumnus of HSSS with immense gratitude for being the pillar of my education and inculcating invaluable life lessons.
I joined HSSS in the year 2010(6th STD) and passed out in the year 2016(12th STD). These 6 years of my life were truly transformative and taught me something more valuable than just textbook knowledge: the motivation to achieve something big. HSSS was a place which gave me the freedom to express myself and exhibit my talents in various cultural and sporting events which was possible because of the environment created by my teachers whose constant encouragement and support gave me the confidence.
All my teachers have helped me in being a better person every single day and I take this opportunity to thank my Chemistry teacher Mrs C Kala Ma’am and my CS teacher Mrs Dhanalakshmi Ma’am for their dedication and hard work and making me believe in myself and instilling in me the values of self-belief and motivation.
Beyond classrooms this place gave me a family and my friends remain some of the closest and important people of my life today which again is because of the strong community like spirit which HSSS instills in its students.
Today I am a First Officer with Air India and I would like to thank my school and my teachers for developing the teamwork, discipline and leadership skills I use every day in the cockpit.
To the students of HSSS, remember that your time here is shaping the person you will become. Find your passion use the motivation and the opportunities the school gives you and never stop pushing the boundaries of what you think is possible.
Always a proud alumnus of HSSS.

If you come to Madras, come to Hindu School.
Hindu is a paradise — a truly well-built school.
Way down in Madras stands the Hindu School.
Is there another like it? No, not at all!

I proudly call myself an alumnus of The Hindu Senior Secondary School, a place where I spent some of the most memorable years of my childhood. I joined in Class 3 in 1992 and continued until Class 10, and those years shaped me in more ways than I can count.
The school was a wonderful environment filled with dedicated and inspiring teachers such as Uma Bala Ma’am, Mahalakshmi Ma’am, Mythili Ma’am, Uma Prabhakar Ma’am, Vijayalakshmi Ma’am, Visalam Ma’am, Alamelu Ma’am, Swarna Ma’am, Vatsala Ma’am, Fathima Ma’am, Satish Sir, and Pattamal Ma’am — and, of course, the ever-supportive and enterprising Principal, Venkatachalam Sir. Their guidance extended far beyond academics; they nurtured our confidence, curiosity, and individuality.
What made Hindu truly special was its encouragement of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Whether it was sports, music, art, or craft, the school ensured everyone had a platform to discover and showcase their talents. As a throwball player, I eagerly looked forward to the SDK Throwball Tournament, when the entire campus came alive with a festive spirit. Being part of the music team was equally enriching — I loved learning beautiful songs and participating in performances that brought the school community together.
Thank you, Hindu School, for gifting me memories that I will cherish forever.
It was a privilege to spend my formative years at Hindu Sr. Secondary School, Indira Nagar. What truly sets my school apart is its commitment to holistic development alongside academic excellence. Beyond the classroom, I was exposed to a vibrant array of extracurriculars—from sports and music to summer yoga and educational excursions. The presence of the temple on campus added a unique spiritual grounding that is rare to find.
The school’s greatest asset is its faculty. The teachers here are true mentors who look beyond the curriculum to shape character. Whether it was my Music teacher, the Principal, or the Librarian, I felt supported by a community that genuinely cared about my success. I am still in touch with some of them seeking their wise counsel. The values of discipline, rigor, and integrity I absorbed here became the foundation of my career and personal life. I entered as a curious child and left as a confident adult with a growth mindset. I highly recommend this nurturing environment to any parent.
